Welcome

To our Family

Creating The Shepherd Club as family means just that, a club for family and all German Shepherd to support and be present for each other before and after. Having the privilege to breed these handsome, caring, loving, protective, joyful and loyal dogs, is something words can’t describe. We want every person and family to be able to give the amount of love that we give to our dogs and future puppies and be able to start a new chapter of their lives alongside their new best friend. As a family we care about where every future puppy is going and how they adjust to their new home, The Shepherd Club honoring our pups by being a voice for them and matching them with their forever home is what we are all about.

Max & Mia

Our Max & Mia have become part of the family since the moment we got them. These two have stolen our hearts, and we have a commitment with them and that is to make sure they are Love, Happy and Healthy. Since they are a medium to large dog, their health and nutrition is our #1 priority. Max & Mia are pure breed, they are know by their color Saddle Back or Black and Tan. While they are usually of two colors, it is the distinctiveness of their markings which gives them this name. The saddle part refers to a patch of black fur which lays over their back, resembling the shape of a saddle on a horse. Some people refer to this as a ‘blanket’ pattern, interpreting the shape as of a blanket were laid over their back.

Describing Max

Born: March 22, 2020

Max as a pup, he was very playful, super silly, funny, very energetic but also super loveable. He wanted all the attention he could get day and night, and ready for new task/activities. He loves and respect the whole family, but if you ask him to choose one member, MoM will be the one! Always on alert for anything weird he sense, feels or see. Max has a short double length coating, with brown almond eye color and his nose is black in kind of a diamond shape.

Describing Mia

Born: August 24, 2021

Mia as a pup, she was too adorable! Very fluffy, her coating was silky soft. She is super calm, loveable, super sweet, very playful, bossy and she has no preference with any family member. Mia is a very smart girl, she loves to learn new tricks, follow orders and always ready for anything. Mia has a medium double length coating, with brown almond eye color and her nose is like Max, black in kind of a diamond shape.

Our first puppies!

As a first time breeder, my purpose is to be different and unique from others. Is not about JUST breeding, is having the acknowledge, the love, dedication, the care, giving your all and going the extra miles for them.

The experience of the whole pregnancy, and be able to witness the proses from the beginning until the end was extremely emotional. It is a job that requires a lot of sleepless night, from feeding to cleaning at midnight and to make sure that everyone is doing ok. Potty training for me is a MUST do. It can be rough at times, but these pups are very smart. One thing about me is that, after all my hard work and dedication to these pups, I still want to be part of their life. To be able to see them grow (of course all optional with their new owners), and plan play dates with the entire crew (also optional). It is a true honor to breed this kind of dogs, and be able to provide other families a true loyal friend.

German Shepherd

Small Breed Information

General Appearance : The first impression of a good German Shepherd Dog is that of a strong, agile, well-muscled animal, alert and full of life. German Shepherd are considered to be the third most intelligent dog breed. They are usually easy-going, approachable, and reserved dogs with aloof personally. They are extremely loyal once they bond to new friends. They are not typically aggressive but, when threatened, can be protective and strong. Their body is longer than tall, emphasizing the strong build. Their front legs are straight while their compact feet contain arched toes and firm pads. The nails are black and short. With a head in proportion to the body, they have average-sized, almond-shaped brown eyes. Their steady expression is that of intelligence. The ears are pointy and erect when the dog is alert. The muzzle is strong with a black nose, and the neck leads to a powerful back. The dog sports a bushy tail with a slight curvature. When they are excited, their tail curves more distinctively. A proud gait allows them to cover much ground with their strides. The coat consists of a medium-length, double coat with a thick undercoat.

Temperament : The German Shepherd is protective of their family and will warn you of strangers, they are loyal, protective, courageous, fearless, cheerful, obedient, confident, and clever. They are a smart breed who loves to learn new tasks, they thrive on being able to take on engaging tasks to work on mental stimulation and enjoy learning tricks, and new adventure. In regard to other animals, this breed generally does well with other cats and dogs, especially those who are members of their “pack” but, it should be noted that some dogs may exhibit aggression toward other animals – especially those that run – as their natural instinct to herd and protect is strong.

Exercise : German Shepherd love all type of activity preferably combined with training. They are very intelligent and crave for a good challenge, they need to be taken on a daily walks ( if possible 30-45minutes), run alongside you, play ball chasing and or frisbee catching. Other activities that are well suited for German Shepherd include hikes, swimming and searching for missing objects. While out on the walk the dog must be made to heel beside or behind the person holding the lead, as in a dog's mind the leader leads the way and not the other way around.

Grooming : German Shepherd have suck a beautiful thick coat that they without a doubt need to be well groomed regularly, they are also a heavy shedder. Brush at least 3-4 times a week, eradicating any loose, dead hairs and keeping the fur soft and shiny. Bathing every 6-8 weeks to maintain cleanliness and keep the shedding at a minimal level. Nails should be trimmed monthly or whenever they are long enough to click on the floor while walking, same goes for the ears should be checked for infection.
